I just finished reading We’re Just Like You, Only Prettier, again, and I just had to share. This is one of those great books to read when you don’t have time to read it straight through. It’s the kind of thing you can read, stop in the middle, pick up later and not feel lost. It’s full of great anecdotes and wonderful bits and pieces about the trials and hilarious issues us Southern women face.
Happy Cow BlessingThis book gets a Happy Cow seal of approval.I definitely recommend picking this one up!

I have as much authority as the Pope, I just don’t have as many people who believe it.

This past Saturday, Oklahoma City Blazer’s head coach Doug Sauter, coach of the Central Hockey League’s Oklahoma City Blazers, was at the state fair, enjoying a horse show.

Suddenly, a Belgian horse broke free and spooked other horses, Sauter said Monday. He leaped into action and bit the ear of one of the spooked horses.

“That’s how you stymie a horse,” he said. “You bite as hard as you can, and it won’t move.”

And then there’s Mike Gundy, the coach of the OSU football team, who blew a gasket Saturday ranting about the press.

The Becknell family from Loveland, CO became extremely concerned when their 3 year old Labrador Retriever started spiting up blood.
