So you’re fed up with your current life and family and thinking about chucking it all and changing your name and identity? Great! Go for it. You might even get to be mayor in a town in Arkansas someday. But whatever you do, don’t start a website investigating the disappearance of your old identity. No matter how curious you might be about what happened to the old you, avoid posting what you know about you on a website about, oh never mind. Just read this:

From 4029tv.com

The mayor of an Arkansas town resigned on Wednesday, claiming he was abducted and brainwashed by Satan worshippers nearly three decades ago.

Centerton Mayor Ken Williams said he has been living under an assumed name for nearly 30 years. He had been mayor since 2001.

Williams told authorities he was born Don LaRose and that in the mid-1970s, he was a preacher in Indiana. He said he was abducted and brainwashed into forgetting all about his life as Don LaRose.

Strange so far, right? Hold on to something, this is where it gets really bizarre.

I’ve uploaded some shots that Will got at her game yesterday over at my flickr site.  That’s her with the pink laces and pink tape on her stick.

I have no idea where this originated, so don’t get too upset over your results.

Five things are happening in your house at the same time. In which sequence 078_a_photo.jpgwould you solve them?

  1. The telephone is ringing!
  2. The baby is crying!
  3. Someone’s knocking or calling you from the front door!
  4. You hung the clothes out to dry and it is beginning to rain!
  5. You left the tap on in the kitchen and the water is already overflowing!

In which sequence would you solve these problems?

Write the sequence and check below how your decisions were made. Then check the first comment below to see how your priorities stack up.

Yeah, you’ve probably received this.  But I like it and it’s my blog so I’m posting it.  So there.

One day, when I was a freshman in high school, I saw a kid from my class was walking home from school. His name was Kyle. It looked like he was carrying all of his books. I thought to myself, ‘Why would anyone bring home all his books on a Friday? He must really be a nerd.’ I had quite a weekend planned (parties and a football game with my friends tomorrow afternoon), so I shrugged my shoulders and went on. As I was walking, I saw a bunch of kids running toward him. They ran at him, knocking all his books out of his arms and tripping him so he landed in the dirt. His glasses went flying, and I saw them land in the grass about ten feet from him. He looked up and I saw this terrible sadness in his eyes My heart went out to him. So, I jogged over to him as he crawled around looking for his glasses, and I saw a tear in his eye. As I handed him his glasses, I said, “Those guys are jerks. They really should get lives.” He looked at me and said, “Hey thanks!” There was a big smile on his face. It was one of those smiles that showed real gratitude.
