Where’s a kitty whisperer when you need one?

Well, I took Socks to the vet, and it turns out he’s nuts. Â Big shocker. Â The vet says that since he can’t tell us what his malfunction is, we have to try out some different anti-crazy medicines until he normals back up. Â So once a day we have to give him kitty Prozac. Â Wonderful. It is better than the alternative, which is everyone else in the house taking meds to deal with him!

I can’t remember the name of the stuff (feliway, maybe?) but there is a product that is a spray and a plug-in that releases pheromones that calm the cat. You might ask your vet about it. I also have a friend whose cat had arthritis and could no longer get into the litter box. Now she receives monthly acupuncture from Dr. Mitchener and has no problems.
Amy, thanks for the advice. I asked the vet about sprays and he said he didn’t think that they would really alter this because it’s a behavioral issue and we’ve tried natures own and it didn’t do any good.
