Taken from Memphis Steve

[1] What’s your name spelled backwards?
Deimhcs Sirhc

[2] Have you ever seen your best friend cry?
Yes.

[3] What are you listening to right now?
General type moaning (I’m at work)

[4] Last thing you ate?
Fruit Loops.

[5] Did you get any compliments today?
Not yet. But I look like hell so if I do get any, they’ll be more of the “Wow, it’s so great that you’re not dead yet.” kind of compliment.

[6] Have you ever gone to court?
Yeah, and I still hate the City of Southaven, thank you.

[7] What’s the seventh text message in your inbox say?
“Did you have a chance to look at those maps?”

[8] Are you friends with your neighbors?
Some of them, yes.

[9] Favorite colors?
Purple and more purple.

[10] What states have you lived in?
Texas, what other states are there? Oh, I get it. Let’s see, Texas (did I already say that?), Illinois, Virginia, Alabama, Florida and South Carolina. I think that’s it. I can’t remember all the stuff from my early military brat days.

New Discovery Christian Church is kindly sponsoring a blood drive for my son, Austin, at Hernando Middle School on October 1st at 6pm. We’re organizing this drive to help Austin (a hemophiliac), and others like him by donating blood and raising awareness. Donating blood not only helps Austin by providing blood for his transfusions, but also helps provide factor (plasma derived) for the infusions Austin can’t live without. Please comment here, or email me at cschmied@gmail.com if you have any questions. You can also visit the church’s site at http://newdiscoverychurch.com/special.html to get more info.

Thanks,
Chris

One of my pet projects is finally up and running! I’ve been wanting an online resource for help with von Willebrand questions, and I’ve been willing to make one myself since the universe is so lacking. So my local CSL Behring rep, Mark, hooked me up with a mom in NY, Jessica. Will and I have the web know-how, she has been a vWD mom and patient and knows it all inside and out. Together, we all made You, Me & vWD. It’s up and running and I really hope we can help people!

I know Trueblood is brand new, but I love this series!  And I know he doesn’t stand a chance, but I’m rooting for Sam.  Not just because he’s a cutie-patootie, but because I think he’s a good guy.

I’ve got some band photos of the HHS band up on my flickr page for anyone that’s interested. And here’s a couple of photos of my favorite trombone player.

Yesterday, Will and I took Small Fry out to Logan’s Roadhouse in Southaven.  Not a place you would think a vegetarian would be dying to eat.  Normally I just munch on the chips and artichoke dip, but yesterday I felt like trying something new.  So I got the vegetable skewer.  It was amazing!  I loved it.  I haven’t enjoyed eating there since I went vegetarian, until yesterday.  Wow, great stuff.  And don’t judge it by the photo.  I took it with my phone, after I had eaten half of it, just because I knew it was yummy enough to blog about.
