For the football fans out there.  And in case you missed the game Friday night (shame on you), Hernando won!  You can see all my football shots on my flickr page.

So the firebugs ( the men folk and the kids) put on an awesome show last night!  Fireworks July 4, 2008
Head over to my flickr page to see the best in show!  I did a lousy job with these photos (shooting fireworks is hard!) but I figured I’d share because it was a great show they put on.  :)

Check out The War on Photography

Since 9/11, there has been an increasing war on photography. Photographers have been harrassed, questioned, detained, arrested or worse, and declared to be unwelcome. We’ve been repeatedly told to watch out for photographers, especially suspicious ones. Clearly any terrorist is going to first photograph his target, so vigilance is required.
Except that it’s nonsense. The 9/11 terrorists didn’t photograph anything. Nor did the London transport bombers, the Madrid subway bombers, or the liquid bombers arrested in 2006. Timothy McVeigh didn’t photograph the Oklahoma City Federal Building

Here’s a harsh reminder about how much respect Mother Nature is due!

Out in SouthWest DeSoto County we have this creek called Hurricane Creek snaking it’s way through developments, under roads and around fields, and with all the rain we’ve had recently, it’s come up over it’s very deep banks.

Here’s what the fields on the North side of the creek looked like before:

Right at the corner of Fogg and Conger Rds:

And here it is today:

The only road you can see in these is Fogg Road, because Conger Road is gone:

I hope no one was anywhere near here when the bottom fell out!

Ok, boys and girls, I’ve got the game write up about Friday night over at Memphis Sport Magazine’s site. Don’t expect too much about specific plays, but I did manage to stockpile this one with photos. Enjoy!img_4509.jpg

Who’d a thunk it could go from the low 70’s to the high 20’s with snow so fast?! I put a few of my favorite photos to show off our white March here in North Miss’ippi.img_4077.jpgÂ
