This is just symbolic of how my day is going. Here’s the straw I waited in line to get at lunch, only to get back with it to find it like this.

Don’t watch this unless you’re ready giving up on Domino’s delivery. Ick.

Here’s an updated video, since the other was taken down.

24hov2Every day I drive I-69 to I-55 to I-240 to work to get from Hernando to Germantown, then I reverse the process in the afternoon.  No big deal.  And I’m not some huge roadrager.  I get frustrated around here not with the traffic (because despite what some of the natives think, it’s really not that bad) but mostly with the rubberneckers.

But there is one thing lately that is really getting under my skin and it came to a head yesterday afternoon around 5:40 pm on I-55 Southbound, just South of the I-240 interchange.  Everyday I see non HOV types in the HOV lane, and it’s irksome, but what do I care as long as I obey the traffic laws, right?  Yesterday there are at least a dozen cars with just a driver in the HOV lane, cruising along like every other day, then I see the cop in the lane with them.  Not pulling anyone over, just going with the flow of traffic.  I got to thinking, why even have the lane if you’re not going to enforce it?  I mean, he’s doing mach 10 with everyone else in the lane, but surely he can see that they’re not supposed to be in the lane!  What is the deal?

Watch out, I might cover you in my super sneezes.  I think Spring has sprung and my nose and eyes are paying the price.

I so love allergy season.

Thank goodness they’ve (the National Bureau of Economic Research, whoever those geniuses are) officially declared this a recession.

Of course, I could have told anyone that yesterday, when I got laid off, along with a boatload of other poor saps.

If it didn’t feel like a recession before, it sure does now!

How can she be so unaware that there is a disgusting bloodletting going on behind her while she’s bitching about the price of oil?

Reaffirms my vegetarian, not voting for her-ness. Gag.

Unless you live under a rock, you know about the big 3 boys in DC begging for money. What I love is how they got there.

From CNN
Big Three auto CEOs flew private jets to ask for taxpayer money

(CNN) — Some lawmakers lashed out at the CEOs of the Big Three auto companies Wednesday for flying private jets to Washington to request taxpayer bailout money.

“There is a delicious irony in seeing private luxury jets flying into Washington, D.C., and people coming off of them with tin cups in their hand, saying that they’re going to be trimming down and streamlining their businesses,” Rep. Gary Ackerman, D-New York, told the chief executive officers of Ford, Chrysler and General Motors at a hearing of the House Financial Services Committee.

“It’s almost like seeing a guy show up at the soup kitchen in high hat and tuxedo. It kind of makes you a little bit suspicious.”

He added, “couldn’t you all have downgraded to first class or jet-pooled or something to get here? It would have at least sent a message that you do get it.”

Check out the rest of this nonsense here

Yep, he’s still bleeding.  Austin I mean.  It’s making me nuts.  And now, to top it all off, he has a whopper of a head cold.  When he’s sneezing like crazy it makes it so much harder to keep his nose from bleeding.  It’s gotten to where he just can’t go for more than an hour or two without a bleed, and sometimes it’s a real gusher!  So on top of being tired and sore and dizzy all the time, he’s got cabin fever.  Ugh!

We go back to St Jude soon.  Then off to Vanderbilt.  Keep your fingers crossed that I stay sane that long!
