Crazy cat lady found!
A few days ago I blogged (along with half the English speaking, cat loving world) about a woman in England who dumped an innocent cat into a trash bin for kicks. The CCTV video was posted online after the cat was trapped in the trash for 15 hours and they realized they caught her on tape doing the deed. They put the video on YouTube and all over Facebook trying to find someone who could identify her.
Well it worked!
Turns out this dastardly deed was committed by Mary Bale, a bank worker in Coventry England. And she lamely, and not even remotely sincerely, sort of apologizes for her actions. According to the Daily Mail, she says
I want to take this opportunity to apologise profusely for the upset and distress that my actions have caused.
I cannot explain why I did this, it is completely out of character and I certainly did not intend to cause any distress to Lola or her owners.
It was a split second of misjudgment that has got completely out of control.
She goes on to add (brilliant, adding this gem)
Come on. Was that necessary? You might have been a little believable, but adding that just pushed everyone right back into ‘hating you’ mode. You weren’t already in the running for “Tool of the Year”, but with that sentence you might give Tony Hayward a run for his money.
You can read all about her poor, misunderstood self over at the Daily Mail. I’m done talking about her.
